Scholarship Grant Information for Burlington Fine Arts League
BFAL annual scholarships support Des Moines County students pursuing college education in an art related major. These awards are generally made as tuition scholarships directly to the school. Scholarship funding may be received for up to three years, based on meeting annual application requirements. Amount of funding will vary, depending on GALA revenues, and number of qualified applicants. Past scholarships have been awarded to: Music Education & Vocal Music majors; Studio and Arts Education majors: Communication/Broadcast Journalism majors, et. al.
The BFAL Scholarship Committee accepts recommendations from Burlington Community H.S., Notre Dame H.S, West Burlington H.S. and Southeastern Community College, as well as applications generated by individual students. Applications are available in January for funding for the Fall semester.
